Reasons to rent
For a large number of people on low incomes, the only way to find somewhere to live is to rent a property. With the depleted stock of council properties, tenants are encouraged to rent privately where the rents are high, tenancy agreements insecure and conditional on income and affordability on large sum of cash ahead of tenancy.
Against this background, we wanted to provide affordable homes for local people who can not compete on the open market.
We provide a small number of homes below the market rental value and no rentals in advance.
We support our tenants and their families by providing them with health and education advocacy

We are a dedicated social enterprise specialising in providing homes for those at the risk of homelessness. We have an excellent track record in working to challenge homelessness. We can adapt homes to meet your needs and offer you a bespoke service that fits you.
We work closely with our tenants and their families, local authorities, support providers and various partners to ensure we deliver the best service. We work with external support providers to ensure you get the help and support you need
Our Approach
Our services are person driven and designed around the needs of our tenants regardless of how complex the need is. We believe that the relationship with all our tenants is the very driver that continues to inform our approach.
Our services are designed by our tenants who need and and use them and so by being tenant led and tenant informed we have developed a philosophy that is centred in this way and remains at the very heart of Third Waves’ service design.
